Taking Ear Impressions

In recent years, it has become common to use individual ear monitors on stage from the standpoint of sound quality and ear protection from loud sounds. There are countless ear monitors out there today, but not many available. In addition, there is exquisite know-how in taking impressions, and musicians and sound engineers need to collect specialized impressions.

Since 2003, our clinic has set up a dedicated window for musicians and sound engineers, and as of August 2022, we have took over 1400 impressions. The number of cases related to professional musicians alone is unprecedented in the world, and it was picked up on an American site when it exceeded 1000 cases.

Hearing management is extremely important when using ear monitors. Please read here.

 Before coming to our clinic

Please do not clean your ears because if you damage your ears, we will not be able to take impression. Please bring your Japanese medical insurance card. If you need earwax removal, or if you wish to have a hearing test, we will cover it with Japanese medical insurance. Appointment is required for taking impressions. Basically, we do it at 11:00 or 16:00 on weekdays, or at free time on Wednesday morning, but we may be able to respond at other times, so please contact us.

In the case of ear monitor production for professional musicians and sound engineers, there is a dedicated contact point. The finished product is different from that for general use. At first, please contact Extreme Wave. If you would like to place an order with another manufacturer and only take impressions at our clinic, please contact us.
